Live Oak Supports Local Foster Families!
meeting the needs of the "least of these" to know Him and make Him known
DECEMBER
During the month of December, we're going to provide Christmas gifts for local foster children!
More details coming soon! You will be able to "adopt" a single child or a group of foster children -- similar to Angel Tree. We will provide information about the child and their wish list. You will shop for gifts and bring them to Live Oak on a designated day.
Ideas/Ways to Get Involved:
- Get others involved! Consider asking your family to help. This is a great way to involve your kids/grandkids in service to our community.
- Get your Life Group involved!
- Ask your friends, neighbors, or co-workers to help out! This also helps get the word out about foster needs in our area.

Live Oak seeks to serve local children in need through helping our friends at Gulf Coast Foster Bridge. Foster Bridge is a local ministry that supports foster families in our area. There are so many children in foster care in our area! Not everyone can foster, but everyone can support the families who do open their homes to children in crisis.
Among other things, Foster Bridge maintains a donation closet (so foster parents can get clothing and other items needed for the children in their care) and a freezer stocked with meals that foster parents can pick up as needed. The meals are particularly helpful when parents suddenly have more mouths to feed than usual.
